Herman Hadley, Jr. was born on May 24, 1943 to the late Herman Hadley, Sr. and Bessie Mae Wright. At an early age, he stepped in adulthood and responsibilities. He began working to help provide for his family. He later dedicated over 30 Years of service to Balfour Lumber Company.
Herman was known as a dedicated and hardworking man who deeply valued family, love, commitment, carrying these values throughout his life. Herman shared 54 beautiful years of marriage with his loving wife, Maretta Hadley. After marrying in 1972, together, they built a life centered around love, family, strength, and devotion. One of Herman's greatest joys was his grandchildren. One of his favorite sayings, which he loved having his grandchildren recite with him, "I love my granddaddy and my granddaddy loves me!" That simple phrase reflected the deep love and bond he shared with his family.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his loving wife, Maretta Hadley; his sister, Bernice Bradley of Port St. Lucie; his two sons, Shelly Anderson, Letrone Hadley and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Hadley, Sr., and Bessie Mae Wright; his siblings, Doris Lynn, Robert Hadley, Ola Mae Hill, Willie Renee Broxton, Precious McKinley, Oscar Hadley and his beloved children, Sherman Hadley, Arnold Anderson, Rokelle Luster and Telesia Williams.
