Herbert Kemp, Jr.

Mr. Herbert Kemp, Jr. was born on September 12, 1957 in Thomasville, GA. He was the son of the late Maggie King and Herbert Kemp, Sr. He was raised by his grandmother, the late Annie King.

He graduated from Thomasville High School in 1975. He joined the military as an U. S. Marine in 1978 at Camp LuJune. After his discharge from the military, he returned home and was united in holy matrimony to his wife, Ella. They shared 41 years of marriage together until his health demise December 2, 2020.

He will forever be loved and cherished by his wife, Ella Kemp of Decatur, GA. Also, he leaves to cherish his memory, a son, Demetrius Kemp, Sr. (Carolyn) of Decatur, GA; a daughter, Heather Kemp of Decatur, GA; siblings, Alphonso Kemp (Harriett) of Conyers, GA, Patricia (Jeffery) Jones of Thomasville, GA; grandchildren, Demetrius Kemp, Jr., Ja'Myia Kemp, Demorris Kemp; great granddaughter, Malani Kemp; aunt, Winefred (Lester) Willis; sister in law, Charlene Marshall; eight sister in laws, nine brother in laws and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Kemp is preceded in death by his brothers, Allen Marshall, Richard Diggs and Cecil Diggs.
