Henrietta Caine Mcqueen

June 13, 1941 — May 16, 2022

Henrietta Caine McQueen, 80, was born in Brunswick, Georgia on June 13, 1941. She was the daughter of the late Annie Jane Riley Brinson and the late R.B. Caine. She was also the God daughter of the late Della Stewart.
She joined the church at an early age and was baptized at the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Brunswick, Georgia. She united with the Beulah Missionary Baptist Church in Cairo, Georgia, after accepting her first teaching position at the Washington Consolidated High School in Grady County.
Henrietta attended Risley High School in Brunswick, Georgia and graduated in 1959. She was a graduate of Albany State (College) University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education in 1963. She was employed and retired from Pelham City Schools where she taught Mathematics.
She was united in holy matrimony to Joseph McQueen for over fifty years. To this union one child was born.
Henrietta faithfully served as the church secretary and financial secretary at Beulah Missionary Baptist church for over 45 years. She also served the community as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. Henrietta volunteered at Archbold Medical Center and was a member of the Block Community Club and an honorary member of the Douglass High School Alumni Association.
She departed this life on Monday, May 16, 2022 at Camellia Gardens of Life Care after a prolonged illness.
She leaves to mourn and cherish her loving memories, a devoted husband, Joseph McQueen of Thomasville, Georgia; a beloved daughter, Henri Patrice Williams of Toledo, Ohio; three granddaughters, Shelby Williams, Maya Williams, and Zoe Williams, all of Toledo, Ohio; one sister, Roberta Daniels of Suwanee, Georgia; three brothers, Robert Caine (Ruth) of College Park, Georgia, Arthur Caine (Rose) of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Thomas Caine of Union City, Georgia; brother-in-law, Richard McQueen, Jr. of Thomasville, Georgia; sister-in-law, Annie Mae McQueen of Brooklyn, New York; a beloved cousin she was raised with, Eddie Mae Young of Albany, Georgia; special friends, Willie and Virginia Coakley of Cairo, Georgia; loving God daughter, Tu'Wanda Ross and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family along with her Beloved Sorors of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority who she treasured dearly.
