Harry Mitchell

Harry Mitchell was born on September 25, 1959 in Thomasville, GA to the late Gertrude Thomas and Johnny Mitchell, Sr.
Harry attended Thomasville High School where he graduated Class of 1977. He was baptized at an early age and was a member of Aucilla Missionary Baptist Church.
Harry joined the United States Army after high school, where he served 20 years and retired. He returned to Thomasville, GA in 1997. He worked for Times Enterprise and Allied for years. He also worked for the United States Postal Service for 20 years and retired in August 2019.
Harry leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Sandra Coleman Mitchell of Grady County; two sons, Harry Mitchell, Jr. and Boris Mitchell of Grady County; a daughter, LaQuan Wyche of Thomas County; four granddaughters, Aveona Coleman, April Coleman, TyKianna Wyche and Tyranique Wyche, all of Thomas County; grandson, TyVarious Wyche of Thomas County; one great grandchild, Noel Wyche of Thomas County; siblings, Sarah (Freddie) Larry, Pearlie (Jerome) Armster, twin sister, Harriet Mitchell, Cynthia Mitchell and Tasha Mitchell, all of Thomas County; Sedial Napoleon Mitchell, Johnny Mitchell, Charlene Mitchell of Jamaica, New York; sister in law, Gloria (Harold) Joiner of Bartow, FL; brother in law, Larry (Jessie) Coleman of Ochlocknee, GA; nieces, Tamika (Carlos) Duncan, Toya Jones, Joycelyn Armster, Tytianna Mitchell, Ante' AsiaBarber, all of Thomas County, Tameka Joiner, Latonia Joiner and Erica Joiner of Bartow, FL, Kendra Coleman, Shaquille Coleman and Ralieka Coleman of Ochlocknee, GA; nephews, Freddie Larry, Jr., Jerome (DeAsia) Armster, all of Thomas County; eighteen great nieces and nephews; one aunt, Teresa Smith and host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his uncles, Plinew Smith, John Henry Smith and Jack Curtis Smith; brothers, Henry Mitchell, Elton Coleman, Jr and Haywood Coleman; nieces and nephews, Kulvanda Coleman and Sandy Coleman and brother-in-law, Rowland Thomas.
