Gladys Lurine Hill was born April 30, 1947, in Thomas County Georgia, to the late R. B. and Rosa Lee Hill.
At an early age she confessed Christ and became a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Coolidge, GA, under the Pasturage of the late Reverend C. W. Williams, of Albany, GA. Later in her adulthood, she united with the Springhill Missionary Baptist Church, under the Pasturage of Reverend George Proctor. Gladys served faithfully as a member of the Gospel Choir, Adult Usher Ministry, Mission In Action (MIA) now the Senior Mission/Deaconesses Ministry and Culinary Ministry. Gladys was a 1965 graduate of Magnolia High School.
Gladys was employed by Joan Arts Mills until the company closed. God always has a ram in the bush. Her ram in the bush for Employment 1981 was TRW a new company opening in Thomasville. There Gladys would remain employed for the next 30- plus years. Her love for cooking and baking will forever linger in our hearts.
Early Thursday morning, July, 18, 2024, the Lillie of the Valley, the Bright and Morning Star was tending to His rose garden at Archbold Memorial Hospital, ICU, in Thomasville, GA. Pausing at the full blossom, He named Gladys. He looked and said my child is ready and she will complete my boutique.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories two-daughters, Jessica Hill and Henrietta Robinson; six grandchildren, Keyanna Hill, Christian Jackson, Katelyn Jackson, Genesis Jackson, Gabriel Hill, Lashay Robinson; two great-grandchildren,, Jordan Scott, Leon Duncan, all of Coolidge, GA; two brothers, David (Patricia) Hill, Tampa, FL, Sidney Roscoe Hill, Thomasville, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends to include all Doctors, Staff and Employees of Archbold Living-Thomasville, Archbold Hospital ICU, and her Springhill Missionary Baptist Church Family, Rev. Justin J. Johnson, Pastor.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents R. B. and Rosa Lee Hill; siblings, Lula Mae Owens, Addie Pearl Hill, and Dollie Bostick; great grandson, Daron Scott, Jr.
