Mrs. Emma Grace Walden was born on March 13, 1957
in Thomasville, GA to the late Emma J. White and
Carrie Lee Gatlin-Monroe.
Emma graduated from Thomasville High School in 1975.
She was employed at Southwestern State Hospital and
Vashti until she retired.
She was a faithful member of Eagles Nest Deliverance
Tabernacle.
She departed her life on February 15, 2020.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Walter
J. Walden, Jr.; children, Christopher (Nicole) Walden of
Crestview FL, Adrian (Apri) Walden of Cumming GA,
Nicholas Walden of Fort Walton Beach FL, Sadarius
Walden; grandchildren, Alicia Burgess, Sadarius Bean of
Thomasville GA, Jayla Hugans of Pelham GA, Caden,
Jasai, and Thaila Walden of Cumming GA, Jayla Walden
and Jahvon Walden of Fort Walton Beach FL; siblings,
Johnny Gatlin of Albany GA, Willie Monroe of
Thomasville GA, Mary Dean of Union City GA,
Claretha (Henry) Ham of Thomasville GA, Corene
Henderson and Sandra (Ellis) Cooper of Tallahassee FL;
in-laws, Carolyn (Carl) Aaron of Clarkston GA, Cynthia
Clark of Thomasville GA, John (Karen) Clark of
Orlando,. FL, Terry (Shannon) Clark of Snellville GA;
mother-in-law, Ardelle Clark of Thomasville GA;
devoted friend, Pearlie Mitchell and host of nieces,
nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Emma J. White,
mother, Carrie Lee Gatlin-Monroe, sisters, Lessie Lee
Sanders, Patricia Jones, Madeline Monroe and brother,
Decasta Gatlin.
