Elmer Hadley, born on October 20, 1944, in Grady County, departed this life on November 20, 2025, at Courtyard Health Care Center in Marianna, FL, after an extended illness.
Elmer dedicated many years of his work to the Thomasville Community. He began his career with Flowers Baking Co. before joining Mediacom Cable Co., where he served faithfully as a cable repair technician until he retired. His strong work ethic, steady presence, and commitment to those he served left a lasting impression on colleagues and customers alike. Elmer proudly served in the US Army, where he was awarded a Purple Heart.
A member of Rocky Hill Community Church, Elmer found joy and community in his faith.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Hadley, and his sons, Michael Hadley and Elmer E. Hadley (Monique), all from Thomasville, GA. Elmer also cherished his grandchildren, Nevaeh Hadley, Kailan Hadley, and Elmer Hadley, who brought light to his life.
In addition to his immediate family, he is remembered by his nieces, Sonia Carr and Rhonda Carr Thomas (Mario), and Linda Vickers, along with his nephew, Lucius Carr, Jr. (Dawn), all from Thomasville, GA. He also leaves behind cousins Betty Jo Kirksy and Emanuel Kirksy, from Jacksonville, FL, and Carol Hadley from Thomasville, GA.
Elmer is preceded in death by his mother, Kathryn Hadley, as well as his sisters, Elinor Brown and Norma Carr. His legacy of kindness and service will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
