Edward Lee Williams Jr. entered his eternal rest on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Wilson Hospice House surrounded by love.
He was born on July 18, 1966, in Boston, Georgia, to Marlee Williams and the late Edward Lee Williams Sr.
He attended Thomasville City Schools and graduated from Thomasville High School in 1985. After high school, he worked at Flower Nursery. After Flower Nursery, he had numerous jobs, City of Thomasville, Grand Manor, Metcalf Lumber Company, Oakwood Homes, National Pipes, UWS, and Biggins Top Manufacturer, where he worked for 18 years until his death. He was known for his hard work and dedication. He took pride in his work ethic, and he gave his best every day.
As a strong man who loved deeply and lived a simple life, he enjoyed the quiet moments in life like fishing by the water, hunting in the woods, and spending time with his family. These were the things that brought him peace and joy. Above all, Edward was a proud father.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a devoted ex-wife, Melissa F. Williams, who stood by his side until he transitioned, five children, Zeporia (Donterrias) Shealy, Mario Williams, Sr, (Jamese Lovejoy), Edwin Williams, Kenobia (Emet) Edwards, and Tecorshia Williams; six grandsons, Jay'Kevious Donaldson, Mario Williams, Jr, Aden Edwards, Mayson Williams, Noah Edwards, and Kian Edwards; one granddaughter, Zaryia Shealy; His mother, Marlee Williams; siblings, Charles (Stephanie) Williams, Sr, Stephany (Gary) Ceasar, Nick (Mary) Williams, and Vick (Suprina) Williams; A god daughter, Quaneesha Knight; his nieces, Shunqunette Coston, Fenisha Coston, Shamere Green, Tiara King, Angie Williams, Kenyale Nixon, Quan Davis, Ta'Dizah Williams, Shun Williams, Brittany Walden, and Detrice Walden; nephews, Vick Williams, Jr. and Charles Williams, Jr. and a host of cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Lee Williams, Sr.; his grandmothers, Elouise Horne Samuel and Eula Williams; and his grandfathers, George Samuel and Tom Williams.
