Eddie James Buchanan

October 5, 1957 — April 16, 2023

Eddie was born in Thomasville, Georgia to loving parents, Samuel Will and Mary Ann Buchanan. He was the fourth child of six siblings born to this union. Eddie was educated in the Thomasville City School system and graduated in the class of 1976 from Thomasville High School. Shortly after, he entered the United States Army and served for several years. After leaving the military, Eddie returned home and worked in a number of companies in Thomasville before moving to Atlanta. He resided in Atlanta for 20+ years and returned to Thomasville in 2012. He obtained employment at Walmart and worked there for 8 years before deciding to retire. While there, he received awards for employee of the month and milestone year awards. Eddie loved to joke with fellow friends and family and loved his Dallas Cowboys, Gunsmoke series and TV wrestling nights. Eddie leaves to cherish his memories siblings, Yvonne Buchanan Armster and Patricia Buchanan McCloud of Thomasville, Georgia and Samuel Lee Buchanan (Debra) of Las Vegas, Nevada, uncle, Frank Buchanan (Jewel) of Pflugerville, Texas, nephew, Yusef M. Armster (Kimberly) of Alpharetta, Georgia, nieces, Nikki Jones of Thomasville, Georgia, great nieces, Aaliyah Armster of Alpharetta, Georgia, Journee Jones, Anya Lee, India Scott, Knowledge Brown and Ximena Marria all of Thomasville, Georgia. Special friends, Ray Sanders, Arthur Graham and Herbert Thomas. Included also are several cousins and other friends. He was preceded in death by parents, Samuel Will and Mary Ann Buchanan, brothers, Norris and Alfornia Buchanan and niece, Kashuntra Jones.
