Mother, affectionately known as Roo, was called to her Eternal home on May 14th 2026. She was born February 5th 1943 in Boston, GA to Johnny Leaphart and Henrietta Mays. She attended and graduated from New Union School in Boston, Georgia. Roo married Mose Walden Jr on October 4th, 1959. To this Union six girls were born; Cherlyn, Lynn, Cynthia, Debbie, Gayle and Rosebud. She worked as a housewife and also at Beech Tex Industries as a machine operator for 18 years. She joined Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member of the Sr. Choir, Sr. Usher Board and a Deaconess. She also enjoyed helping with Vacation Bible school & Sunday School.

She leaves five Daughters to cherish her memories, Lynn Davis ( Fred) of Austell, GA, Cynthia Calhoun (Eric) of McDonough, GA, Deborah Johnson (Michael) of Tallahassee, FL, Patricia Walden (RB) of Thomasville, GA, Crystal "Rosebud" Barnes of Thomasville, GA; A brother, John Leaphart of Thomasville, GA; Grandchildren,  Michael Walden, Alfonso Walden, Kendric Barnes, Kwinton Barnes all of Thomasville, GA, Paul Glenn of VA Beach, VA,  Alexander Davis of Hiram, GA, Eddie Johnson of Pueblo CO, Michael Johnson of Tampa, FL,  Shakeidra Johnson of Tallahassee, FL, and D'Erica Smith; A special granddaughter, Anyla Ellis of Thomasville, GA; 20 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, brothers-in-laws and sister-in-laws and Two bonus sons, Sylvester Blount, and Charles Scott.

Proceeded in death; husband Mose Walden, daughter Cherlyn Cole, grandsons, Marquis Glenn, Jonathan Cole & Aaryon Davis. Sisters Mittie French & Connie Simmons
