Dorothy Lavern Graham “Vern”, was born on May 4, 1963, in Thomas County, Georgia to Annie Mae Robinson and the late Preston McCall. She was a lifelong resident of Thomasville, Georgia. She departed her life on April 9, 2026, at the age of 62.
She was united in marriage to her loving husband, Johnny Samuel Sr., who cherished her deeply. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will always be remembered for her strength, kindness, and unconditional love.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her grandmother, Sophia Johnson; her uncle, Willie James William; and her sister, Sophia Choice.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her devoted husband, Johnny Samuel Sr.; her children, Reshenda McQueen (Reginald), Makeith Graham, and Roderick Graham, Sr.; and her stepchildren, Conika Dunbar (James) and Johnny Samuel Jr.; sisters, Cynthia Choice (Bill), Cathy Thomas, Lawanda Graham, Tamela Graham; brother, Keyston Graham (Sonya); sisters in law, Linda Presha and Marlee Williams.
She was blessed with a beautiful legacy of grandchildren: Jaleshia Graham (Janae Ponder), Maurice Graham, Adrian McQueen, Rakiyah McQueen, Essence Graham, Roderick Graham, Jr., Olivia Fleno, Syncere Rambo, Kinston Dunbar, Rodarian Bowdry, Mason Dunbar, Corson Dunbar, and James Dunbar Jr.; and one cherished Special great-grandchild, Malani Banks.
She also leaves behind a special niece, Jessica Brown, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will forever treasure her memory.
Her life was a shining example of love, faith, and devotion to family. She touched many lives with her warm spirit and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
