Deramie Thompson

August 23, 1984 — June 28, 2024

Deramie Thompson was born to Cynthia Thompson and Anthony Johnson in Fort Myers, Florida. He passed away peacefully Friday, June 28, 2024. He was a loving son, brother, cherished grandson, nephew, cousin, and dear friend to many.

Deramie lived a life filled with love, laughter, and kindness. He was known for his warm smile, gentle demeanor, and unwavering generosity. Bro. Thompson was baptized in The Pentecostal Church of God and became a member of the Body of Christ as a child.  He was raised in this Gospel. Deramie loved to sing and seized every moment to testify about the goodness of the Lord to anyone who would listen.

Deramie enjoyed randomly popping ears (anybody's ears), pillow fighting, and roughing up his siblings and younger cousins. He was everybody's special child. But his grandmother, Sis. Rosa Mae Thompson and Aunt Gail held him close to their hearts. Oh, what a reunion it had to be when he entered life on last Friday. Don't mourn for him because he is free!

Deramie's favorite food was pancakes and little chicken (chicken wings). He enjoyed fishing, singing, and playing video games. He found solace and joy in the simple moments spent with his family and friends.

He will be dearly missed by his siblings (maternal) Sis.Latisha Tate (Bro. Lavar), Min. Robert Lee Means, Jr. (Sis. Denise), Sis. Tilya Means, Sis. Esther Freeman (Bro. Dalaunte), Sis. Dorothy Miley (Bro. Jaquez), Bro. Stephen Means; (Paternal) Kevin, Anthony, Jr., Sandrica; Grand parents: Dea. Julius Thompson (Lily), and Pearl Lee Johnson; 7 uncles: Joseph Jones (Julia Mae) Eld. Paul Jones, Eld. Julius Thompson, Jr.,(Felicia) Dallas(Roxanne), Donald, Andre,  Sherman, and Joey Johnson, Dea. Pherman Samuel ; 9 Aunts: Evelyn, Emma, Judy, Aritha, Tronda(Terrell), Shonda. Ethelene(Walter) Betty Sue, Marilyn; 7 nieces, 9 nephews, a host of cousins, his Brother cousins, Tyrone, & Jimmy, Big Sister cousins Anquanettia, Dextra, Rhoda, and Rolinda, the entire Body of Christ and friends. He touched the lives of many and will be remembered fondly for his kindness, compassion, and gentle spirit.
