Demorrio Antron Thurman, Jr. was born on October 13, 2004, in Thomasville, GA to Shakevia Springle and Demorrio Thurman, Sr. Demorrio was affectionately known to his loving mother, father, grandparents, aunts, uncles, family, and the entire community as "DJ". His assignment and mission were done here on earth when he answered our Father's call on June 26, 2024.

At the age of 10, Demorrio joined Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Camilla, GA where he was later baptized. DJ had a love for football and sports. He played football at a young age and throughout his middle and high school years. He truly shined as a wide receiver at Thomasville High School. During his four years at Thomasville High School as a Bulldog, he had 80 receptions, 1660 yards, 13 touchdowns, 23 tackles, 9 carries, 26 returns, 2 interceptions, and 5 pass breaks; he was a member of the 2022 All-Region Championships THS Football Team and was recognized as a player of the week during the 2022 football season. Because of his talent, record, and dedication to the sport and his academics, DJ earned a scholarship to Gordan State College in Barnesville, GA. DJ loved playing video games. He sincerely loved being right by his mother's side day in and day out.

Demorrio loved spending time with his son Demir. He spent quality time and demonstrated the love and dedication of a father through his deeds and actions toward his son.

Demorrio leaves to cherish his loving memories, his son, Demir Antron Thurman (his son's mother, Malaysia Mills) of Thomasville, GA; his Loving and Dedicated Mother, Shakevia Springle of Thomasville, GA; his Father, Demorrio Thurman, Sr. (Trimesha) of Columbus, GA; Grandparents, LaBrena Cannon (Willie) of Camilla, GA, Delaine Thurman-Pettis (Marvin) of Thomasville, GA, Wilfred Springle of Atlanta, GA, Leonard Wilson of Thomasville, GA; Sisters, A'naijah, A'journy, A'leah, Trinity, and Serenity Thurman; Great-grandparents, Richard Lewis of Thomasville, GA, and Anne Jones of Thomasville, GA; Aunts and Uncles, Shaterica Shedrick (Jarvis) of Elgin, SC, Shakeylia Presley (Markel) of Merrit Island, FL, Andrena Ellison (Raymond) of Atlanta, GA, Shoronski Stephens of Atlanta, GA, Sarah M. Springle of Savannah, GA, Tiera Kerbo (Detroski) of Thomasville, GA, Terrica Williams of Thomasville GA,  Jada Wilson of Atlanta, GA, Leonard Wilson Jr. of Thomasville, GA, and Micah Adams of Thomasville, GA; God-mother, Melissa Mack-Terrell (Ollie) and God-brothers, Arkeyse Edwards and Harlan Clark of Thomasville, GA, and God-Sister, Dream Lamar of Valdosta, GA. Demorrio had a host of friends whom he spent time with and who also loved him dearly; Rickey Fulton, III, Jamison Bushware, Evan Wynn, Jason Larkin, and Deltroiz Grimsley, Jr. Demorrio also appreciated and looked up to his mentor, Antonio Ivey.

Demorrio was preceded in death by the following: his "PawPaw", Rufus "Chuck" Jackson. DJ and PawPaw shared an exceptional bond. His PawPaw played an integral part in his life; Step-grandmother, Debra Springle, Great-grandparents, Willie James and Dorothy Brown, Robert and Evelenee Thurman, Freddie Wilson, and James and Sarah M. Springle all of Thomasville, GA.

Demorrio will be missed by all, and he leaves behind a host of great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, family, and friends to cherish his memory.
