Deborah Ann Williams

May 1, 1954 — September 7, 2024

Born May 1, 1954 in Thomasville, GA, Sister Deborah Ann Williams is the daughter of the late Albert Williams, Sr. and Edna Vandergriff Williams. She was educated in the Thomasville City School system and graduated THS Class of 1973. Early in her life, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, Thomasville, GA. Following high school, she spent a brief period in El Paso, TX before returning home, spending most of her adult life living, working and enjoying Thomasville and the surrounding counties.

As the only and oldest daughter of Albert, Sr. and Edna, Deborah stayed close to home, nurtured her family and was a constant and primary caregiver to her aging parents. For about 10 years, she worked in various administrative roles at John D. Archbold Memorial Hospital, with the last role being an administrative secretary. For the next nine years, she provided front desk reception and administrative support at Rose City Orthopedics and an additional year at McIntosh Clinic before retiring in 2011.

She enjoyed sewing, crafting, connecting with family on social media and watching her favorite Atlanta Falcons play.

On Sept. 7, Deborah, affectionately called Ladybug, took off her earthly garments to receive her heavenly robe. She was greeted with open arms by her parents and grandparents.

She leaves a family she truly cherished: three brothers, Albert "Butch" Williams, Jr., Ellenwood, GA; Kenneth Williams, Sr. (Jennifer), Lilburn, GA; Roderick "Chuck" Williams (Toyca), Eagleville, PA; six nephews, Kenneth Williams, Jr. (Paula), Snellville, GA; Tavaris Williams, Hampton, GA; Kentavius Williams (Patricia), Tallahassee FL ; Kenon Williams, Evan Williams and Zachary Williams, Eagleville, PA; one niece,  Noelle Williams, Lilburn, GA; one great niece, Sanaa Williams, Snellville, GA; one great nephew, Jamarri Williams, Hampton, GA and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and loving friends.
