David Gerome Ross was born September 1, 1965 in Thomasville, Georgia to the late Wardell Ross, Sr, and the late Lois Tillman Ross. At an early age, he confessed his love to Jesus Christ and became a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church where he served faithfully in the youth department.
David attended elementary, middle school, and high school in the Thomasville City School System. He played varsity football for the Thomasville High School Football team and he graduated in 1985. David was a lifelong fan of the Thomasville High Bulldogs. He transitioned to the Lord on the day he loved the most, the Bulldogs' annual cross-town football game against Central High School.
On December 20, 1986, he was united to his loving and devoted wife, Felicia Arrington Ross. David then joined New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church during the leadership of Reverend Gary Sanders. Throughout the remainder of this spiritual life, he actively and faithfully served, volunteered, and worked with his New Jerusalem family in the deacon ministry. David worked beyond the four walls of the church, throughout his community on Magnolia Street where he would perform home repair and offer his services to the elderly.
