David Jefferson

July 22, 1960 — March 16, 2024

David Jefferson, a native of Thomasville, GA, born July 22, 1960, to the late Catherine and Harry Jefferson Jr., transitioned from this time side of life on March 16, 2024. David was a God-fearing man who walked by faith. Baptized at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Metcalf, GA, David was a devoted member and deacon for several years, and during this time, he became one of the founding members of the Antioch Male Chorus, later renamed E&A Jacob Male Choir. They traveled near and far, spreading the gospel through song. His love for singing didn't stop there; he was also a member of the R.L. Coachman Choir of St. Mark A.M.E. Along with working for the Lord, David contributed over 30 years of hard work as an Operator Set Up at Pursuit Aerospace. When not working, he enjoyed fishing with his brother, spending time with family, watching sports, and keeping up with the weather forecasts. He was also an avid Atlanta Braves fan.

Earlier in life, David married Barbara Jefferson, and from this union, two endeared children were born: Danielle and Daniel Craig. They enjoyed the doting affection of both parents, even after their separation.

At the time of his transition, he was Hazel Parker's beloved soul mate and long-time companion for 21 years. They shared a life of intimacy and made a home together during their union.

David leaves to cherish his everlasting memories, his loving children, Danielle Myers (Victor) of San Antonio, TX and Daniel Craig Jefferson (Alicia) of Kansas City, MO; grandsons, Donta and Andre Myers, Godson Joe Burns (Tiffany); Goddaughter, Tiara Ivey both of Atlanta, GA; bonus children, Altranese Brown and Makya Parker of Thomasville, GA; bonus grandchildren, Jamari Brown and Alaysia Wilson of Thomasville, GA; siblings, Nathaniel Jefferson of Thomasville, GA, Charles Jefferson (Andrea) of  Tallahassee, FL, Harriet Jefferson, Harry Jefferson, III (Linda Vandergriff), both of Thomasville, GA, Carolyn Stewart of Tallahassee, FL, Cathy Brown of Orlando, FL, Willie Jefferson (Shaniqa) of Thomasville, GA; aunt, Ethel Lee Davis of Thomasville, GA, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a great many friends.
