Cora Sue Jones was born December 31, 1944, to the late Joshua King and Willie Mae Kirksey. She graduated from Grady County School System.
Cora was a member of Rocky Hill African Methodist Episcopal Church. She was a resident of Thomas County. She retired from LC Collins Pecan Factory. Cora was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She loved her family. She enjoyed shopping and collecting antique items. Cora will be remembered for her sense of fashion and immaculate housekeeping.
Cora shared a union with Elder Harold W. Jones of Dallas, Texas. From this union four children were born.
Cora Sue leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Craig L. Jones of Thomasville, GA; two daughters, Lachelle Fizer (Elder Roger Fizer) of Dallas, TX, and Felecia Thompson (Elder Julius Thompson) of Thomasville, GA; grandchildren, Antwan, Quatesh (Olan), Omar (Sherrie), Edward, and Kandise; great grandchildren, Jamius, Ja-Marion, Jamarcus, Amyra, Jalayia, and Kylin. Cora also leaves behind her siblings, Carolyn Allen, Betty Joe Kirksey, and Emmanuel Kirksey, Joshua King (Shmyra King), Joel King, Joshua Weaver, Eva Weaver, Josh Mae Jones, Jackie Brown, Lamar Weaver, Fannie Taylor and a host of nephews, nieces, family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Jones.
