Charlie L Powell, Jr

Charlie L Powell, Jr Was born on May 16, 1965 to Charlie L Powell, Sr. and the late Lillian D. Powell in Thomasville, GA. Charlie was educated in the Thomasville City Schools and graduated in the Thomasville High School Class of 1985.

He accepted Christ and joined Mt. Zion P. B. Church of Thomasville GA. Charlie enjoyed watching football and listening to gospel music. Charlie was employed with Dawson St. YMCA and then worked for Performance Food Group for 27 years before he retired.

On November 21, 1984, Charlie married his high school sweetheart, Roxanne Mickens and to this union shared two caring children.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories. a devoted wife, Roxanne Powell; two sons, Keldrick(Stanisha) Powell of Thomasville, GA and Kendrick (Joyce) Powell of Hawkinsville, GA; two wonderful grand-daughters, Melody and Justice Powell, who will truly miss "Papa"; three step-grandchildren; one sister, Sharon(Elvin) Jones; one brother, Alvin Powell both of Thomasville, GA; father and mother-in-law, John and Mary Mickens of Thomasville, GA; one sister-in-law, Sylvia (Robert) Rose; two brother-in-laws, Raymond Mickens of Thomasville, GA, John (Shauna) Mickens, Jr. of Eagle, ID; five nephews, three nieces, three great nephews, two great nieces; a special friend, Mrs. Leslie Tillman of Thomasville, GA and a host of aunts, uncles cousins other relatives and friends.

Charlie was preceded in death by his mother, five uncles, four aunts, grandparents and great-grandparents.
