Charlie James Bonaparte was born to the late Earnest and Essie Bonaparte, Sr. and Charles Donaldson on November 15, 1951.

Charlie James confessed to Christ and became a member of St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church, Baconton, GA.

He was educated in the Mitchell County School System and graduated from Camilla Consolidated, class of 1969.

He was united in love with Patricia Bonaparte on July 28, 1971. They were blessed with three children, Gary, April, and Ashley.

Charlie enjoyed driving trucks, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying life.

On July 23, 2026, God called Charlie James home. He departed this life at Archbold Memorial Hospital, Thomasville, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Essie Bonaparte, Sr. and Charles Donaldson; his siblings, Earnest Bonaparte, Jr., WD Bonaparte, Sr. Sylvester Bonaparte; his grandson, Jayden Mango and son in law, Joe Mango, Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memory, three loving children, Gary (Latrece) Bonaparte of Memphis, TN; April Mango of Pelham, GA and Ashley Bonaparte of Savannah, GA; one sister, Catherine Bonaparte of Addison, TX; one sister-in-law Louise Bonaparte of Camilla, GA; 9 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
