Catherine Lovejoy was born in Thomasville, GA to the late Josephine and Lenard Rollins on June 1, 1948.
She graduated from Magnolia High School. She was a member of SpringHill Missionary Baptist Church, where she worshiped until her health fail. She drove the bus for several years for both the city and county school systems. Catherine loved the outdoors, especially working in her yard taking care of her flowers, but most of all she loved being a loving devoted mother to her children and grandmother to her grandkids.
She was married 21 years to the late Johnny Lovejoy.
She leaves to cherish her memory, three amazing children, Deana Davis (Donnie), Gaina Dunbar (Roscoe), Keith Rollins (Quimberly); four stepdaughters, Annie Mae Brinson, Dorothy Lovejoy, Angela Lovejoy, and Lavern Lovejoy; seven grandchildren, Roscoe Dunbar, Jr, Destiney Dunbar, Kammi Mitchell, Jaylen Dunbar, Makayla Davis, Taniya Davis, Amiya Rollins, Jordan Rollins; two great grandchildren, Rashia Dunbar and Braylen Mitchell; two grand-puppies: Master "Oreo" and "Dino Escobar"; two surviving sisters, Helen Battle, and Josephine Hooker Gibson and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Aunt Geesie as she was called surely will be missed!
She was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine Parker-Rollins, father, Leonard Rollins, husband, Johnny Lovejoy, stepdaughter, Rose Lovejoy, sisters, Mary Lee Crumby, Josephine brown, Dorothy Mickens, sister-in-law, Mary Rollins, brothers, Roosevelt Rollins, James Lacey Rollins and Henry Hookers.
