Carl David Wright was born April 21, 1949, in Anson County to the late William J. Wright and Daisy Diggs Wright of Wadesboro, NC.

Carl was educated in the Anson County school system. After graduating, he enlisted in the United States Army. Staff Sergeant Carl David Wright served this country faithfully. Throughout his military career, he received many awards for his honorable service. After completing 20 years of service, Staff Sergeant Wright retired to Thomasville, Georgia. He later relocated to Atlanta, Georgia.

Carl was married to Belinda McClain Wright of Coolidge, Georgia. To this union, two children were born. Their son, Vincent Lorenzo Wright of Thomasville, Georgia, and daughter, Roslyn Verlonda Wright of Blaine, Minnesota.

Carl leaves to cherish his memories his son and daughter, grandchildren, Terica Wright of Chicago, Illinois, Reannan Bostick of Atlanta, Georgia; great-grandchildren, Caden Wright and Delaney Wright of Chicago, Illinois; sisters, Luci Wright of Newnan, Georgia, Irene Wright of Baltimore, Maryland, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Carl is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Eva Lee Lanier, Geneva Wright, William J. Wright Jr., and Johnny L. Wright.
