Our Father God blessed Mr. Tommy and Linda Barnes of Thomasville, Georgia on September 10, 1973 with their youngest son, Brian Jerome Barnes, better known as "Papa B" by his grandchildren. Brian accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He graduated in Thomasville High School's Class of 1992. He attended Union College where he and the 1992 Union Bulldogs received the ultimate compliment by being selected as a "Team of Distinction," and being inducted into the school's Athletic Hall of Fame. He graduated from ITT Technical Institute with a degree in Accounting and Colorado Technical University with a Bachelors and Masters degree in Cyber Security. He also was completing his Doctoral degree in the area of Cyber Security at Colorado Technical University. Brian was previously employed by ITT Technical Institute and the Madison County School Board as a Computer Technician. He became an entrepreneur and opened Brian's Computer Repair where he served numerous businesses and school boards.

Brian was preceded in death by Mr. James and Emma Grissett, grandparents; Coral Lee Barnes, grandmother, Tyler Key, nephew and Richard Grissett, uncle.
