Beverly Elaine Smith, born to the late Charles Maynor and John and Evelyn Smith Sr., took her first breath of life on February 6, 1970. Words like independent, curious, and energetic could easily describe her from infancy to adulthood.
In her pre-teen years, Beverly gave her life to Christ under the pastoral guidance of Loretta Holmes in Havana, Fla. Beverly went on to expand in Ministry under the course training of Bishop William L.& Pastor Linda A. Bradley and The Zion Christian Bible Institute & The Zion Christian Outreach Ministries Church. Beverly was ordained as an Evangelist in the year 2015.
Beverly was a 1989 graduate of Thomasville High School. She was an employee of the Gadsden Correctional Facility, where she was the Administrator to the Deputy Warren. Law Enforcement was not just her job, but it was her passion; she also taught education to inmates and ministered to them daily.
When Beverly wasn't on the job, she was busy spending quality time with Mom on outings. She, too, was a dedicated Mom, big sister, aunt, and friend to many. Beverly believed in sending random messages with the quote "I love you" to her family and friends. She wanted her loved ones always to know how much she loved and cared for them. Beverly also believed in letting everyone know that the Florida Gators were the BEST as they were her favorite football team. On any given week, you would see her wearing some Florida Gators attire.
Beverly peacefully passed away to paradise at Archbold Memorial Hospital on August 18, 2021, surrounded by family at her bedside.
Beverly is preceded in death by her biological father, Charles Maynor and her niece/Goddaughter, Andrea Morris.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories; her life-partner Terrace Reese, parents John and Evelyn Smith Sr., sons Curtis Simmons Jr. and Macondris Simmons, siblings John Smith Jr, Mark Smith, Felicia (Ben) Morris, Levada Laing, Carla Carr, Torrance Maynor, Charles Anderson, Lovondia (Gabriel) Maynor-Showers, Teaeski Maynor, Sydney Maynor and Goddaughter, Tonya Nash and a host of other family members and friends.
