He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Catherine Bryant Smith, son, Ladelrick Smith; siblings, Ned (Alma) Smith, Jr., Guy (Latrel) Smith, Dora (Frederick) Edwards, Sonya Smith, Bobbie Smith all of Thomasville, GA, Valerie (Stanley) Wynn of Pavo, GA, Brenda (Ronald) Thomas of Jacksonville, FL, Hiram (Geraldine) Smith of Kuwait, Willie Smith of Jonesboro, GA, Tyrone (Angela) Smith of Fairburn, GA, Derrick (Gloria) Smith of Hampton, GA and a host of loving aunts, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Mary Lawyer, Sr. and Walter and Lenny Smith.
