Barbara Wimberly

In accordance with our Heavenly Father's plan, on Thursday, September 15, 2022, Barbara Jean Wimberly gained her heavenly wings.

Barbara Wimberly was born in Camilla, GA on August 12, 1965 to the late Mary Louise Murphy and the late Vernando Brown, Sr.

She professed Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an early age and joined Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She attended Mitchell County High School and furthered her education at Thomas Technical College.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Louise Murphy, father, Vernando Brown, Sr., son, Michael Terrell Wimberly and brother in law, Melvin Thomas.

Barbara leaves to cherish her memory, the love of her life, her best friend, John Henry Griffin, Sr., Pelham, GA; four loving children, Shernell Irvin (Curtis Anderson), Thomasville, GA; Travis Johnson, Sr. (Daishea Gaines), Conyers, GA, Bernita Loftly, Morrow, GA, Andrea Wimberly, Morrow, GA; fifteen grandchildren and one great grandchildren. She also leaves behind three sisters, Sherry Jackson (Walter), Cairo, GA; Anita Thomas, Pelham, GA, Shaunita Evans, Camilla, GA; her work family, Allison Thomas, Moultrie, GA; Maranda Shope, Franklin Bowden, Troy Merritt, Art Courtney, Destin Crawford; favorite cousin, Terry Brown, Cherry Brown, Titus Butler, Anna Rittler and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews and friends.
