Avis Mcintyre

June 13, 1953 — September 13, 2024

On June 13, 1953, Avis C. McIntyre was born to John and Beatrice Clark, Sr. in Thomasville, GA.  She was the oldest of the family.

Avis attended and graduated in 1971 from Thomasville High School.  She married her high school sweetheart, Willie F. McIntyre.  From that union, Roderick, Keysha and Freenae were born.

At an early age, Avis accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and joined New Jerusalem Baptist Church. Later she joined Springhill Missionary Baptist Church where she served with the Senior Mission and Senior Choir. She worked with the finance department in the Thomasville Missionary Baptist Association, Springhill Missionary Baptist Church, and New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.  She loved and attended many Northbound Unions and National Baptist Conventions.

Avis worked at John D. Archbold Memorial Hospital for 40+ years.  She started in the Emergency Room Department and retired as a Patient Financial Services Supervisor.

Avis loved spending time walking, shopping and dancing with family and friends. She was affectionately known as "The Diva" to many.   She loved praising and worshipping the Lord and believed you should dress your best before Him.

On September 13, 2024, our beloved mom returned to join her Savior in a home not built by man's hands.

Sis.
