Arthur Lee Thurman

Bro. Arthur Lee Thurman was born February 19, 1953, in  St. Lucie County, FL.  He is son of the late Deacon Robert and Deaconess Evelene Thurman in the Coon Creek Community of Thomas County, Thomasville, GA.

He received his early education in Florida and Georgia. He was a child of God.

He grew up on the Griffin Farm and Coon Creek Community. He had a love for farming. He also worked at Sunnyland, Balfour Lumber Company, and Welding.

Preceding him in death one brother, Robert Thurman, Jr. and two sisters, Juanita Thurman and Mary Thurman.

He was married to Daisy Lee Harper, and to this unity there were two children born, daughter, Detrice Ann Thurman, and son, Cory Jerome Thurman.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter, Detrice (Arthur) Jones and Cory (Peggy) Thurman; sisters, Evangelist Arleen (Frank) Morrow, Wanda (Eddie) Ward, Linda (Kenneth) Burks, Delaine (Marvin) Pettis, all Thomasville, GA, James (Patrice) Thurman of Cairo, GA; one aunt, Delores (J. D) Minnfield; two uncles, Jimmy Thurman, Charles Thurman; eleven grandchildren, Michelle, Daisy, Demetrial, Krishna, Isaiah, DeAundra, Rashad, Cory Jr. Cortavous, Avonte, Tykiera; twenty-six great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Mosiah, Zyniah, Ava, Myiah, Mariah, Silas, Kingston, Maria, Josiah, Kamarion, Talyiah, Sametria, Tavoris, Paisley, Penelope, Joshua, J' Shon, Mari, Cason, Tatum, Avonte, Jr, Jordan, Kyrie, Kortevion, Ke' Riyah and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins,and friends.
