Annie Grace Tramel was born on February 11,1934, in Beachton, Georgia, the third of nine children born
to the late Bernice Solomon and Jessie Tramel. On December 24, 1957, she was joined in holy matrimony
to Franklin P. Wade, who preceded her in death in 2009. Grace was also preceded in death by two sisters,
Geneva Fair and Rebecca Morrow; and one brother, Willie J. Tramel.
Grace came to rest in her home on the morning of September 3, 2020, at age 86, surrounded by loving
family.
Grace attended Coolidge High School before assuming her lifelong mothering role after her mother's
early passing. Grace dedicated her life to caring for others with the purest love. She was a loving, caring
and supportive mother and grandmother who devoted her time and effort to her children, grandchildren,
and great-grandchildren.
Grace lived in God's likeness and became a Seventh-day Adventist early in life and was a loyal, faithful
servant and dedicated member of the First Seventh-Day Adventist Church of Thomasville, Georgia. For
many years Grace served as a Deaconess as well as serving in other departments as needed. Grace loved
the Lord and believed in prayer and family devotion. She had a ritual of daily morning and evening
devotion with her children and grandchildren. Grace lived by God's word. Grace taught her children and
grandchildren to live by God's word as she did. She strongly implemented treating others with kindness and
to treat others as one would want to be treated. She lived a holistic lifestyle through diet and appearance.
Her beautiful, loving smile and presence will truly be missed.
Grace loved family and loved to travel. She was always eager to "get out and go". Grace always
encouraged family togetherness. With the sweetest personality she was always willing and open to give
love to all. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening. She truly had a "Green Thumb". Her natural
grace will always be sorely missed.
Grace leaves to cherish her memories, five devoted children: Betty Peters of Snellville, GA; Michael
Wade of Leesburg, GA; Kenneth (Cynthia) Wade of Snellville, GA; Annie Doris Wade of Tallahassee, FL;
Alma (Ned) Smith of Beachton, GA; a special loving and caring granddaughter, Asicha Gabriel, of
Tallahassee, FL; a host of grandchildren (16), great-grandchildren (21), nieces, nephews, other relatives,
friends and a loving church family.
She also leaves to cherish in her memory; two sisters, Naomi Thomas, Brooklyn, New York, and Willie
Mae Tramel of Livingston, New York; three brothers, Roscoe Tramel of Thomasville, Georgia, Jesse
(Betty) Tramel of Livingston, New York, and David Tramel of Crescent City, Florida.
A Special Thanks to family and friends for all acts of kindness.
