Andrea Maria Morris, born to Benjamin II and Felicia Morris took her first breath on November 5th, 1997. Words like bubbly, kind-hearted, soft-spoken and lovable could easily be used to describe her from infancy to adulthood.
Andrea gave her life to Christ early on in her pre-teen years under the pastoral guidance of Anthony Q. Choice. She faithfully taught Sunday School to the youth each Sunday Andrea graduated from Thomasville High School in 2016. Andrea pursued her college diploma from Southern Regional Technical College in Early Childhood Education the year of 2018. Andrea remained on the SRTC Dean's list while being hospitalized for over a month during kidney transplant complications.
Andrea was a kidney transplant survivor of 8 years and a force to be reckoned with to overcome her kidney disease and all that it involved.
When Andrea wasn't busy with her siblings, she devoted most of her time with her Kidney Awareness Foundation M.K.F. to promote kidney health awareness. Her most active month to bring awareness is March (National Kidney Awareness Month). Her other hobbies/interest included painting, drawing, working out, and fashion.
Andrea Maria Morris peacefully passed away at the University of Florida Shands Hospital March 8th, 2021 surrounded by family after a three-month battle with Covid-19 that attacked her lungs' capacity. Andrea bravely fought during her three month stay.
She is pre-deceased by two Great-Grandfathers, Johnny Brown Sr. (Married to Surviving Great Grandmother Charlie Mae Brown of Thomasville Georgia) and Theodore Sylvester Holmes (Married to Surviving Great Grandmother Loretta Holmes of Havana Florida).
She is also survived by her 17- and 12-year-old sisters, Aniya Morris and Aniesia Morris, respectively. Grandparents, Benjamin (Geraldine) Morris Sr., John (Evelyn)Smith Sr., Great-Grandparents Charlie Mae Brown, Loretta-Levada Holmes, Aunts, Beverly Smith and Levada Laing of Thomasville Georgia -Great Auntie Bessie (Darryl) Duncan of Havana Florida, Uncles Eddie Brown, Cleveland(Deanne) Brown, Wayne (Joy) Morris of Atlanta Georgia, John Smith Jr and Mark Smith of Thomasville Georgia.
Special Cousins, Christian Morris, Avon Laing Jr, Jaushuah Laing, Tylin Laing, Curtis Jr and Macondris Simmons, God-Parents Neil (Samara) Baker, and Beverly Smith and Curtis Simmons Sr. A host of special Aunties, uncles, cousins, friends and church family.
