Amos Artis "Pancake" Jackson was born on August 10, 1947 in Thomasville, Ga to the late Angeline Jackson Scott and Joseph Brown. Raised by stepfather the late Selton Scott.
He then later moved to Fort Myers, FL where he graduated from the last segregated class of Dunbar High School in 1966. Amos re- dedicated his life to Christ as an adult, and believed in The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. He made a life career as a tractor-trailer driver with Yellow Freight (RoadWay) in which he retired in 2019. He has inspired two of his children Ronald (FedEx) and Kerri (Estes) to also drive tractor trailers.
