Alfred Lee Samuel was born November 8, 1956 to the late Isaac Nathaniel Samuel and Johnnie Mae Samuel in Boston, Georgia. On Wednesday July 24, 2024 with his family nearby, he heard the voice of his Savior extending him an offer to take his external rest. He was the eldest son.
Alfred, (Big Ace) as he was known by his family and friends, he was educated in the Thomas County School System and served 8 years in the United States Marine Corps.
A protector of his family, he welcomed everyone with open arms, as he was known for his selflessness. Though he may not be with us physically his spirit, love and teachings will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He leaves a legacy of love, compassion and strength that will continue to inspire and guide us in our lives.
In honoring his memories let us remember him for the remarkable person he was.
A loving husband, a devoted stepfather, a cherished brother, and a beacon of light to many. His impact on our lives will never fade, and he will be clearly missed We find solace in the memories we shared and the lessons he imparted.
Awaiting his triumphant entry into the arms of eternity, he leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Jacqueline Leaphart Samuel and a Special Grandson, Logan "Phat" Gatlin; three loving step-daughters, Shantreal Mitchell, Selena (Joe) Franklin, Tarkeya Dunbar all of Thomasville, Georgia; eight loving grandchildren, LeDarian (Najah) Scott, Shanique Gatlin, Jamarcez Carr, Dakari Mitchell, Jyteris Horne, Arundai Mitchell, Jacqkeria Dunbar, and Hasani Kimmons all of Thomasville Georgia and 16 great grandchildren; four sisters, Maxine (Curtis) Coasey, Angela (Clarence) Bryant, Cynthia Samuel, Teresa Samuel all of Thomasville, Georgia, Essie (Kenneth) Moore of Valdosta, Georgia; five brothers, Charles (June) Samuel, Tommie Lee (Melinda) Samuel, Richard (Fredricka) Samuel all of Thomasville, Georgia, Robert (Carol) Samuel of Atlanta, Georgia and Tim (Miranda) Baton Rouge, Louisiana; three sisters in law, Waltina Leaphart, Schanthina Leaphart of New Jersey and Yvette Leaphart of Thomasville, Georgia, brothers in law, Xavier (Christine) Leaphart, Joseph (Mary Alice) Leaphart, Micheal (Miriam) Leaphart, Fernando (Yvonne) Leaphart, Bishop Richard (Synetra) Leaphart all of Atlanta, Georgia, Steve Leaphart of Thomasville, Georgia and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Francis Curry, Christine Williams and Barbara Sneed.
