Alberta Hayes

July 8, 1944 — August 30, 2021

Alberta Beatrice Hayes was born in Belle Glade, FL on July 8, 1944, to the late, Lawrence James Frazier and Lucille Preston. She was raised by her grandmother, the late Mary McCastle of Moultrie, GA. She was the eldest out of three children. She was a faithful and dedicated member of New Generation By Faith Ministry in Cairo, GA. under the leadership of Pastor Tommy Burch. She was united in marriage to the late Elwood Harold Hayes.

"Ms. Alberta" as she was known to all who loved her and especially her Flipper Home community was definitely a "social butterfly" who never met any strangers. She had a heart of gold and would give her last to who was ever in need. She enjoyed family time and was the life of the party, our "dancing machine." Mrs. Alberta attended Magnolia High School. She was a domestic worker for nineteen years until her health began to fail. Mrs. Alberta was loved by the community and will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Alberta leaves to cherish her precious memories with her six children: her three sons; Stanley Frazier (Janice), Nathaniel Williams III, Torianto "Ronto" Reed; her three daughters; Mayceil Brown (Danny), Sherrie Williams (Thomas), and Maria Thomas (Michael); special daughters; Ieshea Bryant and Ineshea Grant, nine grandchildren, Antonio Stafford (Heather), Greg Hill, Jacquline Hunter, Lis-Stacha Hodges, Antonio Wise (Cynthia), Kierica Baker, Lawrence Ellis III, Ladarian Ellis, Laquarius Ellis and twenty-nine great grandchildren, sister, Cynthia Snelling, Moutlrie, GA; two cousins whom she loved like sisters, Bernice Johnson and Allene Rogers, a god-son, Craig Richardson and god-daughter, Relisha Miller, special friends; Deborah Burgess, Debbie Moore and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Sherrie Frazier-Sutton and grandmother, Mary McCastle.
