Deacon Albert King was born on April 6,1944 to the late Henry King, Sr. and Elizabeth King. Albert attended Camilla Consolidated High School and graduated in 1964. Following graduation, he was employed by Firestone Tires. Albert began his career with the Mitchell-Baker Service Center, where he faithfully served for 34 years before retiring.
Albert was a devoted man of faith. He was a longtime member of Friendship Baptist Church in Camilla, Georgia, before relocating his membership to Covenant Christian Church (CCC) in Thomasville, Georgia. In 2023, he was ordained as a Deacon at CCC and served faithfully until his health no longer permitted him to continue. His unwavering commitment to God and his church family reflected a life dedicated to service, humility, and love.
Albert transitioned peacefully from labor to reward on the morning of July 7, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and Henry; his daughter, Reketha Williams; his grandmother, Lindy Pitts; his sisters, Maxine King and Daisy Johnson; his brother-in-law, Lamar Johnson; and his grandson, Albert King.
Albert leaves to live out his legacy and cherish his memory; two daughters: Cynthia and Zandra (Brent); two grandchildren: Quenton (Shunta) and Ian; eight great grandchildren: Dantay, Quinn, Quenton Jr, Qualiegh, Legend, Loyal, Charisma and Jamir; great-great grandchild, Ariana; two brothers: Henry (Linda), Johnny (Daisy); three sisters: Annie Doris, Barbara Ann (Timothy), Linda Sue (Ronnie); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
Deacon Albert's life was marked by faith, hard work, devotion to family, and a servant's heart. He touched countless lives through his quiet strength, kindness, and steadfast love. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of faith and service will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him.
